COVID-19 Pandemic Restrictions.
As England starts to come out of the pandemic restrictions it is important to emphasise that there have been no changes to the extra measures imposed on dental practices in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Government Roadmap out of Lockdown states that by Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact. All of the team here at the practice would be delighted to return to our normal procedures. But currently that is not likely. Some of the restrictions on practices may be reduced during the rest of the year, but some restrictions may stay in place in the longer term. We will try and keep every patient aware of the changing situation.
Over the last few months, we have continued to care for our patients within the restrictions placed upon us by central Government in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We will continue to follow the scientific advice and safety regulations that the Government imposes.
We have invested heavily in our practice staff and structures to meet the safety requirements.
- Worked tirelessly to obtain the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – (which has not been supplied by the Government)
- Watched closely the development in the science surrounding COVID-19 and the new ways of working that will be required
- Endeavoured to keep abreast of the ever-changing Government guidance that has been a barrier to us offering a wider range of care
- Be training continuously to ensure the dental environment is truly safe for both our patients and staff
This will mean that visiting the practice now will be a different experience. Although this will add a considerable burden to the team, we will all endeavour to serve and protect our patients as we have always done.
We and the practice look quite different, don’t worry, it’s still us under all the funny looking costumes and we will fully explain how you will move through the practice before you come.
